Joel has a diverse and varied history in over a decade working in market research consulting. Prior to joining DBM/Illuminera, Joel worked at Nature as Senior Associate Director / Innovation Leader, and previously at GfK/Blue Moon and Millward Brown.
His career was honed in tracking, brand and communications, broadening out to include CVP, concept testing, and advanced methods such as segmentation and choice modelling / price optimisation. Moreover, he has worked across most sectors, finance to utilities, insurance to aged care, motoring bodies to superannuation, and more. Predominantly a quantitative researcher, he's also dabbled in qualitative.
Joel holds a Bachelor of Psychology and Marketing from Monash University, has spoken at The Research Society Conference and Monash University, and mentors graduates regularly.
