New findings from DBM Consultants’ Consumer Atlas reveal that fewer Australians possess home insurance than in previous years.
This decline is associated with falling home ownership (with mortgage) and a corresponding increase in renting. In addition, fewer younger people are taking out home insurance due to socio-economic factors, with 18 to 29 year olds in particular feeling worse off financially compared to this time a year ago.
